Hurry Up and Wait

In the spring I made plans for doing lots of BIG projects.  I began by cleaning the garage and preparing for the community yard sale.  It took me a week to wash every item in the garage and decide what I could sell. Neighbors stopped by and said I had the cleanest garage in the neighborhood.  I was soooo proud!!!

Now that I had a clean and neat working environment my plan was to refinish a couple pieces of furniture and an old trunk I had found years ago in my childhood home.  I gathered the supplies I would need to start these projects.  Then my son sold his house sooner than he expected and he needed to store a few things here until they built their house.  To make a very long story short, their things are still here.

None of my projects have been done this summer.  Here's a picture of my clean garage.

When the kids are gone I think I'll start a project then I remember my garage.  I shouldn't even have those thoughts because here is my dining room.

And I even find little monsters in the most unusual places.

Don't get me wrong, I don't mind having everything upside down.  On the good side, I've had the summer to really enjoy two of my granddaughters.  When they do move I'll miss them terribly!

So I hurried to get everything clean and organized and am now waiting to begin my projects.

Hugs, Linda

Isn't that the way it always happens? You're eager to do a project and then something gets in the way and who knows when the mood will strike again??!!

Those projects will still be there waiting for you after your family is gone. I am glad that you can enjoy them while they are there. I would love for my grandkids to move in with me. I only get to see them once or twice a year.
