Our Minds Work is Mysterious Ways

While showering this morning, a poem came to mind. Why this poem and why now? I learned the poem when I was in junior high and haven't thought of it in 45 years. I don't know who's the author. Thought I would share it here.

I never let your know before
But, now I must confess
That only in your loving arms
Can I find happiness

Yes, I have waited quite awhile
To tell you how I feel
But I just wanted to be sure
My love for your was real

And now I realize Darling
No other one will do
You mean so much
And I want only you.

So if I still have any chance
For what I hope will be
May God perform the miracle
Of giving you to me.
